Envirosoft Announces the Release of Emission Manager™ 2.0 with
Automated Petroleum Registry and Production Accounting Connections

Envirosoft Products Inc., a software development company that
provides air emissions data management solutions to the oil and gas
industry, announces the release of Emission Manager™ 2.0 with two
new modules: Petroleum Registry Connect™ and Production Accounting
Connect™.
In the past, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and emission
intensities have been reported on an annual basis, for emissions
that occurred in the previous year. While this has until
recently been sufficient, oil and gas companies are now faced with
new challenges, including:

new requirements to manage and
report greenhouse gas emissions, criteria air contaminant
emissions, as well as carbon and energy intensities, at a
facility and corporate level; |

the onset of binding
agreements for emissions reductions; and |

the development of emissions
trading programs. |
In order to truly "manage" air emissions, companies must now have
access to more current emissions information. This would be
virtually impossible to achieve if companies were to manually gather
their facility and production data, and perform the necessary
calculations.
Emission Manager™ 2.0 is revolutionizing the way greenhouse gas (GHG)
and criteria air contaminant (CACs) emissions are managed, by
providing oil and gas companies the ability to efficiently calculate
and track emissions, as well as carbon and energy intensities, on a
monthly basis. Generation of monthly emissions information
will allow companies to conduct trend analysis, plan and implement
emission reduction strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of
their reduction initiatives.
Emission Manager™ is a multi-user, web-based data
management application and emissions calculation software, designed
specifically for the oil and gas sector. It provides the
foundation for meeting the oil and gas industry's multiple needs for
facility and corporate-level reporting of criteria air contaminant
(CAC) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, under a single data
management system. Among the enhancements in version 2.0 are
the addition of units conversion capability and context-sensitive
on-line help.
Petroleum Registry Connect™ saves oil and gas companies
time and money by automating the download of production accounting
data from the Petroleum Registry of Alberta into Emission Manager™
2.0. The downloaded data can then be used to calculate and
track emissions and emission intensities for Alberta facilities on a
monthly basis.
Production Accounting Connect™ saves oil and gas companies
time and money by automating the download of production accounting
data from industry standard production accounting systems such as
Qbyte, Triangle, Prism, into Emission Emission Manager™ 2.0.
The downloaded data can then be used to calculate and track
emissions and emission intensities on a monthly basis for facilities
located outside the province of Alberta.
